Biography

CHRIS CLIFTON (trombonist, guitarist) was born on April 21, 1959 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He now lives and works in Tampa, Florida, U.S.A. He performed in the “Sound of Toronto Jazz” Concert Series as a member of Jim Buchmann’s Jazz Barons on February 15, 1982.

Clifton has worked with a long and diverse roster of internationally renowned artists from Dizzy Gillespie to Luciano Pavarotti. He has played with hundreds of name acts, and since 1986, has also played lead trombone at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. He continues to be active in the jazz and freelance scene in the Tampa Bay area.
